2nd POST !

Summary
In the Rule of Bones I have read from pages 24-100 and let me tell you I learned a lot about the characters and Chappie's way of being. Throughout these pages I found out how Chappie got kicked out by his father for stealing from his family and for Shoplifting in Victoria Secret. Chappie feels really unloved and doesn't know anything practically which is hwy he lets his "best friend" push him around. Ever since he got kicked out he has lived with Russ and his biker friends that are true criminals. From these bikers they do drugs, smoke, steal, carry guns and don't care about anyone. From these guys there Bruce, Joker, and some other ones but Bruce is the only one who seems to have some compassion. Russ doesn't really get along with them but he hangs in there with Chappie since both of them have nowhere to go. Russ starts stealing from the bikers and drags Chappie down which at the end leads to a huge fire. In this fire Bruce went back to the fire to save Chappie after what they had done to him but he ended up realizing Chappie had left and he died in the fire. I found this said because Bruce always liked Chappie so he went back but it was too late. As all these events accrued I realized how Chappie is a follower. Since Chappie is so young he doesn't know what to do or what hes facing, how just goes with the flow to survive all these events. Now Russ and Chappie began to stay at a bus with Richard and James who are old friends of Russ, I see this experience being the same way it was with the bikers. I predict that they will end up having to go somewhere else as I don't find these men trustworthy at all .
As reading I see how the book is going to show the coming of age story for Chappie. Right now Chappie is going through rough times and is in need of his family. Hes alone in a cold war with a fake friend who is very self-centered. I predict that Chappie will have to eventually go back to his parents because he cant be with Russ for the rest of his life because that will end up in him being dead or in jail forever.

Quotation
In the middle so a chapter Chappie begins to describe his environment and his view of things. For example," Nights are okay though because you cant see much and it's cold so everything freezes up but during the days the sky is always this place yellowish color like old mattress stuffing. It makes a strange light and the town looks like it's been through this hundred-year war and everybody's forgotten what they were fighting about so it's hard for them to get too excited now that it's over" (Banks 50).
Reaction
When reading this quote I had several thoughts on his point of view and how hes viewing everything with the hard environment he is living in. When he said the nights are okay, I knew that wasn't how Chappie was feeling inside. The night to me is foreshadowing his home, because he knows that he messed up badly and he cant go back. Chappie came to the conclusion that what hes doing is right but deep inside his days look very different to him then anyone else, by his description. He views the sky as yellow and cloudy like mattress stuffing because hes life is foggy right now, he doesn't know when its going to clear all up and every things going to be better for him. But what made me have the biggest reaction from reading this was the ending and how he said the world looked like it went through a war. This part shocked me because it reminded me of a rough time I went through and to me the town looked weird and the world looked as if a major event took place. The ending probably ment to foreshadow the series of events hes going threw that hes trying to overcome but its difficult since he has no one but Russ on his side, sometimes. Chappie is going threw hard times that he shouldn't go threw on his own since hes very young and doesn't really know much, even though he thinks he does when he really doesn't.
